First CUL Tournament 2017-2018

CUL is organising a football tournament in the city of London with the participation of sixteen teams of various young peoples’ groups under the ages of twenty years from national and international communities within the UK. On the opening day of the tournament social, cultural, heritage and recreational activities such as folk dances where the performers from the different communities will be wearing national costumes and team fans will be accompanied on the sidelines. There will also be welcoming speeches by the organising committee. The handing out of the trophies for the participating teams will take place in the closing ceremony. ​ The Schedule of this tournament is as follows: • The tournament will be held on Saturday 22 July 2017 to Sunday 20 August 2017. • The first games on the tournament days will take place from 4 pm to 6 pm. The second games will take place from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The tournament will be taking place at the following address: Kennington Park Football Ground London SE11 4BB

Goal of the Tournament

The purpose of such events is to:
1. To channel the energies of the young people in the different communities towards useful activities and sway them away from engaging in misguided and devious activities
2. To develop the abilities and the untapped capabilities of young people to the fullest potential
3. To facilitate assimilation and cohesion in the society


We have managed to assemble teams from different communities with a view of creating awareness to unite all the young people in these communities. We now have committed teams representing communities in the UK from the following such countries: North Ireland, Egypt, Sudan, Poland, Romania, France, Algeria, Nigeria, Somalia, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Ecuador, Colombia and much more.
